Between the end of November 2013 and February 2014, BEST Committee Members travelled tirelessly up and down the country to reach out, to assist the needy and to contribute to the flourishing of Buddhism in Myanmar. The donation programme was intense with early morning starts, long days and vast distance travels. We didn't feel tired because of our motivation to advance Buddhism. The joy of giving is immense to give with joy and to see the joy in the faces of those receiving wiped away any physical tiredness and made all the effort worthwhile. This year we were able to continue our contributions to our long standing commitments like the Dhammamaydini Parahita free school in North Oakalapa where our donation reached its 10th consecutive year. This year we were also able to donate to new and well deserving causes like the Insein Ywama Priyati Pali School. What is remarkable also is that BEST received widespread media coverage and its biggest visibility ever in Myanmar. The donation rounds were accompanied by media crew from DVB Broadcasting, Myawati, Myanmar TV and Skynet. The work and donations made by BEST reached various corners of the country. In short the past donation round was one of the most intense, one of the most effective, one of the most visible, one of the most joyous and harmonious. To use the rock icon Tina Turner's words. It was just ”SIMPLY THE BEST. Thank you to all our donors who gave generously, to all our committee members who worked tirelessly as well as to all those who helped in many different ways to move BEST from strength to strength. To all of you, THANK YOU. Thadu. Thadu. Thadu.
